We are a small family business. Both my wife and I run the business with the help of our children when they are around!! and a few employees.
Since the creation of Select Plus we now currently have close to 1000 cultivars of lilac in production which is one of the world's most important collections.
We have based ourselves on excellent service, excellent product and great knowledge.
We have been open since 1990. I have graduated from Forest Management and have worked for some 24 years in the nursery industry from wholesale represenative to department head and customer service at Sheridan Nurseries.
I also am the vice president for Canada for the International Lilac Society and sit as board member and have other functions there as well.
I have had the chance to work on contract to reestablish the cultivar names of the lilac collection at the New York Botanical Gardens.
I am currently on the scientific commitee for Cap a L'aigle a wonderful lilac collection of 800 cultivars in The Charlevoix area of Quebec.
In the past I have developped a multi media cd rom on lilacs and in spring 2005 a lilac book in French which I co-wrote will be available for sale.
